A telecommunications software company in Cambridge is building something special. A brand new C# Development team for a new iteration of their industry-recognised and world-first may I add, software platform. Founded by industry experts over 20 years ago, the company began taking their product to the market earlier this year and have enjoyed tremendous success and industry recognition as a 'one to watch' company since. Their platform and systems form part of a genuine hotbed of technology in an area experiencing vast growth and as such presents a great opportunity for the successful C# Developer to join this new team.
The company are now at a stage of growing their product offering and are looking for talented Developers to help them realise their ambitions and goals to become the 'go to' within their vertical and double in size over the next 12 months. The successful candidate will play a key part in the future of the company whereupon joining a talented technical team, your input and ideas will be fully visible and the impact you have will be seen across the whole business. The majority of your work will be a cross between greenfield development (new platforms and introducing new markets) and improving existing functionality of their flagship platform. This role will also present the opportunity to be involved at the architectural design-level, lead projects and become a mentor to other members of the team.
Number of years served is irrelevant in this position as they are open to a variety of different levels of experience, simply what will really stand out is the ability to demonstrate exceptional C# Development skills where the onus of work has been across desktop application development. SQL should also form part of your technical repertoire and in an ideal world experience with Unit Testing (Nunit) and knowledge/experience of architecture and design would be highly desirable. Any previous work on real-time, high-volume/transaction systems would also be of great benefit however this is not a pre-requisite. As you will see, the company are not precious about ticking a list of technical boxes, they work on diverse systems and place more importance on someone's aptitude to learn new things and present new ideas.
A competitive starting salary up to 65k is on offer (multiple roles exist across all levels) together with the chance to be part of a genuinely exciting company (for some, corporate-loving developers need not apply).
