£30000 - £35000 per annum + Benefits
A unique technology company based in Norfolk, about 10 miles north of Norwich (easily commutable from Norwich, Fakenham, North Walsham etc.) is growing their Project Management team. With a reputation the envy of many, they are recognised as the de facto name in their industry and have grown rapidly over the last few years due to the quality of their product offering and market knowledge. The products they offer cater to multiple micro-markets within their niche and have begun to capitalise on new ventures (white label Saas offering, new sister companies etc.) which will further increase their dominance. Having grown throughout this period with next to no 'formal' project planning and management methodology, a Project Manager who can help deliver key business and IT projects in line with their objectives will significantly pique their interest. This role will also ultimately become the strategic face of all future projects for the business.
The work will be wide and varied from day one. There are a couple of key projects in the pipeline that will need to be delivered (new telephony platform and new OS rollout just for starters) and this will grow and evolve as the company's future take shape. Implementing a project methodology which can adapt to the size and scale of projects will be the next order of the day. The development team are making steady progress towards working in an agile fashion, so previous experience in this setting would be ideal to see, however due to the nature of the business, they are completely open to candidates with Prince2 and Waterfall experience.
The nature of projects will span IT, digital and business change and ideally your background will reflect this also. Time served is also not a concern for this position however being the first Project Manager for the company, you will need to demonstrate the ability to run with project delivery from day one. Team fit is just as important to the company as relevant experience and the whole team employ an open, collaborative culture. Applicants expecting and seeking a corporate culture with hierarchical ladders need not apply. This is the chance to genuinely put your stamp on how the future of project management will look for the company and is an opportunity we seldom see. A salary up to £35000 is on offer together with benefits package. If you are interested to find out more, please do get in touch and you can be assured your application will be responded to quickly as frankly, that is just good manners! Thank you for your interest.
